One Wests origins are in local government and is highly experienced in this field both with government bodies and affiliated organisations.

Local government produces complex and especially varied requirements and this has prepared One West well for its dealings in other sectors.

Our customers in government organisations benefit from excellent service and if necessary whole teams are embedded within to help them deal with needs and work with stakeholders as closely as possible.

We understand that local government is ever changing and often under pressure to deliver. We try and work sympathetically to this providing objective reviews with beneficial, achievable recommendations being made.

One of our key strengths is the ability to respond to changing legislation and we have been able to lead organisations on the relatively recent demands of GDPR, Freedom of Information and Subject Access requests. We continue to lead on this.

In addition, we have been able to develop new services like Investigations which add great value to the ability organisations to deal with HR caseload. We have also assimilated and improved some existing service provision for instance with Corporate and Social Service based complaints.

Remaining part of Bath & North East Somerset Council we are reaching out very successfully into other fields as one of the best commercial initiatives in the South West.
